About me

I am a trained psychotherapist from the Institute of Psychotherapy in Copenhagen.

Over the past years, I have worked with a particular focus on trauma, boundaries, substance use, early attachment, sexuality, gender, ethnicity, family structures, and the experience of being a migrant in the global West. I have done this through organisations such as Sabaah, the Danish AIDS Foundation/Checkpoint, and Tårnbyhus LGBT+ Crisis Shelter, as well as in my own private practice.

I have also worked as a therapeutic consultant on the Danish AIDS Foundation's campaign “No One Should Stand Alone After Assault”, a five-part campaign addressing the immediate and long-term impact of sexual assault. My role was to help ensure that both the script and the performances reflected, with professional accuracy, the kinds of reactions and situations that can follow traumatic experiences.

In addition, I have worked as a scriptwriter and producer at KIN Collective, a film collective for racialised and minority-ethnic creatives and filmmakers. I also co-founded COUSINS CPH, a creative ecosystem for POCs in Denmark aimed at strengthening community, visibility, and professional networks within the creative industry.

In my practice, I draw on psychotherapeutic theory, professional experience across different fields and working environments, insight into cultural norms and religious structures, and experience from activist spaces and community organising. I also bring an understanding of collectivist and individualist social contexts, as well as experience with sexual health, including HIV, sexually transmitted infections, desire, kinks, arousal patterns, and sexual trauma.

If there’s anything about me that you’re curious to know more about, you’re more than welcome to reach out.
